Framed examples

Examples

We hope the following examples provide inspiration for you. The list of framing styles is virtually endless so please call to discuss your ideas.

Images came from a digital camera, please excuse any marks and reflections.

Certificates

Certificates should always be framed with a mount, although if wall space is limited the frame can be made to the certificate size or perhaps two certificates mounted into one frame. – Most popular: Flat black frame with slate blue mount.

Embroideries

All cross stitch embroideries we frame are stretched by lacing over an acid free board and mounted to distance them from the glass. Spacers are positioned under the mounts when the cross stitch incorporates beads or other raised work.

Medals

All medals are mounted on to suede effect board and spaced away from the glass, photographs and memorabilia can be included. Usually finished with a double mount and deep frame. – Most popular: Gold frame with Army green or RAF blue mount.

Miscellaneous

Framing is an excellent way to display and protect memorabilia. Over the years we have framed many unusual items including: Engine parts, magazines, cake icing, cricket bats, model cars and even a full sized fairy costume previously used in a TV commercial.

Multi-Opening

Multi opening mounts are ideal for small photographs or a combination of photographs and memorabilia. An economical way to frame several photographs, this format can be particularly appealing when framing wedding or event photographs.

Papyrus

Papyrus is usually mounted on to a complementary colour mount board backing to show the decorative edges of the papyrus and finished with a gold frame. Most popular: Gold frame with royal blue or terracotta mount board backing.

Records & CDs

Records and CDs can be framed with associated memorabilia such as signed photographs or album sleeves etc. Special openings are cut to hold the disc securely and therefore preserving the media surface of the disc.

Sports Shirts

Shirts are best framed in a box frame to distance the shirt away from the glass. This gives the shirt a natural look instead of the pressed look when framed between glass and back.
